We have a current opportunity for a 1 Assoc Supply Planner on a contract basis. The position will be based in either Westminster, Co or Olive Branch, Ms For further information about this position please apply.

The Associate Supply Planner is responsible for forecasting, supply planning, new products launch, procurement, and management of orders of medical devices and manufacturing services from approved suppliers in alignment with forecasted net requirements. This role ensures forecast, cost, inventory, delivery, and service targets are met or exceeded through day-to-day supply chain management techniques in conjunction with identified improvement projects. This role interfaces with the Quality, Engineering, Marketing, Logistics, and Finance departments to align on, and achieve organizational objectives. In this role you will also be responsible for commercializing low-to-medium complexity supplier agreements, driving total cost reduction, and creating and capturing value for Highridge Medical Operations by partnering with internal stakeholder and suppliers.

Principal Duties and Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and practices.
  • Lead low-to-medium complexity sourcing engagements, contract negotiations, and ongoing supplier relationship management activities for assigned material categories.
  • Plans, organizes, controls, and executes new product introduction projects on time.
  • Oversees supply chains and forecasts supply and demand for Legacy and NPI products.
  • Assess supplier capability, capacity, and cost to allocate annual spend to qualified suppliers optimizing for service, quality, and cost.
  • Manage basic and advanced planning parameters to ensure optimal net requirements planning.
  • Review net requirements against supply and demand; manage open order exceptions; place and manage purchase orders.
  • Regularly review KPIs; develop and execute strategies to address unfavorable results.
  • Identify and close business process gaps; collaborate with stakeholders to drive business process improvement for planning, procurement, and inventory.
  • Lead regular supplier production reviews to ensure needed capacity and on-time delivery.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews.
  • Monitor inventory levels to mitigate stockouts while maintaining cost effective operational expenses.
  • Support new supplier qualification activities.
  • Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal departments such as Engineering, Quality, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Visit existing and potential supplier facilities to evaluate manufacturing processes, capabilities, recent investments, potential for growth, performance trends, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Four-year Degree (B.S/B.A.) required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in demand and supply planning, purchasing, or supply chain required, preferably in a medical device environment.
  • APICS CSCP/CPIM certification preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including advance level Excel skills.
  • Strategic Sourcing, opportunity analysis, and strong negotiation skills.
  • High volume purchasing/planning experience required.
  • Highly effective communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with detailed product line forecasts; familiarity with Sales & Operations business management process.
  • Demonstrated success in driving process improvement.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving skills, and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize appropriately and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with various cross functional teams.
  • SAP experience required.
  • Previous medical device experience preferred.
