EPM are supporting a leading biotech specialising in molecular diagnostics and point of care testing. With a strong presence in the healthcare sector, the company are committed to improving patient outcomes through advanced diagnostic technologies. As they continue to expand, they are looking for a dynamic and driven Account Manager to join their team and support our growth in East Germany.

Role Overview:

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and promoting our cutting-edge molecular diagnostics and point of care testing solutions to healthcare professionals, hospitals, and laboratories across East Germany. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of healthcare innovation while contributing to our mission of improving diagnostic capabilities in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Growth: Drive sales and revenue for our molecular diagnostics and point of care testing products within the assigned region.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients, including GPs, hospitals, clinics, diagnostic laboratories, and other healthcare institutions.
  • Product Expertise: Serve as a technical and product expert for customers, providing them with detailed information and support regarding the products and services.
  • Market Development: Identify new business opportunities, develop strategies for market penetration, and actively pursue leads in the assigned region.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, product management, and technical support) to align on business goals and provide feedback to help shape product offerings.
  • Customer Support: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing client concerns, offering technical assistance, and providing follow-up training and support as needed.
  • Reporting: Track sales activities, report on progress, and provide forecasts to senior management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or account management, ideally within the healthcare, diagnostics, or medical device sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of molecular diagnostics, point of care testing, and the healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record in managing client relationships and driving sales growth.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • A self-starter with a strong drive for results, combined with an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent in both German and English (spoken and written).
  • Ability to travel within East Germany and occasionally to other regions as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A background in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related life sciences field.
  • Experience working with diagnostic products and understanding clinical workflows.
  • Familiarity with regional healthcare regulations and procurement processes.
