Our client is now looking for an experienced and dynamic Business Development Director - Europe to lead the expansion of their presence across Europe and establish new partnerships that will shape the future of clinical trials.

Role Overview:
As the Business Development Director for Europe, you will be responsible for identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and driving growth across the region. Working closely with the leadership team, you will help define and execute strategic initiatives to expand market share and ensure their digital solutions are adopted by new clients, while meeting the ever-evolving needs of the clinical trial industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships across Europe to expand the company's customer base.
  • Sales Leadership: Lead the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualifying leads to closing high-value deals, including developing tailored proposals, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Market Insights: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to identify emerging opportunities for growth.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers in pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and research institutions.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside the Product and Marketing teams to ensure that the company's digital solutions are tailored to meet the specific needs of the European market.
  • Revenue Generation: Consistently meet and exceed sales targets, driving revenue growth from new and existing clients.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to the leadership team on sales performance, market opportunities, and relevant industry insights.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the life sciences, clinical trials, or related digital technology sectors.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the clinical trial industry, including market trends, regulatory challenges, and key players.
  • Proven Success: A demonstrated track record of successfully driving business growth, particularly in the European market.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage senior executives and key decision-makers.
  • Self-Motivation: Results-driven, proactive, and able to work independently within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe as needed.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is essential. Additional language skills (French, German, Spanish) would be a plus.
