Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) Scientist/ Senior Scientist

Role Overview:

The MSAT Scientist/Senior Scientist is responsible for the transfer of Gene Therapy (AVV) into GMP production.

You will be overseeing the whole production process, including, manufacturing campaigns, investigations, process integration and improvements.

The role will require a mixture of Downstream and Upstream processing, but with more of a focus on Downstream. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and train others in Downstream processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transfer manufacturing processes under the supervision of the MSAT manager
• Support technology transfer of buffer/media production
• Execute process transfers from internal Process Development (PD) or external clients in compliance with GMP regulations.
• Manage project timelines
• Support new technology transfers
• Develop expertise in upstream or downstream processing

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field.
• 5+ years of experience in Downstream, with some Upstream
• Advanced knowledge of viral vectors and bioprocessing
• Experience leading small projects and collaborating across departments.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis
