EPM is partnered with a leading medical device company in the blood & cell therapy space seeking to add a Director of Market Access & Government Affairs to their Patient Access Leadership Team, which includes Medical Affairs, Government Affairs, and Market Access. The role ensures alignment across business units globally to improve patient access to innovative therapies.
This position offers a unique opportunity to combine strategic leadership and operational management:
- Develop and implement strategies that enhance patient access
- Forge partnerships with major payers, public institutions, and other stakeholders to support innovative therapies
- Influence healthcare policies and trends to ensure our client's long-term success
- Lead and build a high-performing, diverse team on a global scale
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Formulate and implement comprehensive strategies for market access and reimbursement.
- Influence public policy to create favorable conditions for market access.
- Advocate for patient access policies by engaging with government officials, policymakers, and regulatory agencies.
- Lead a diverse global team, promoting collaboration across different regions.
- Facilitate senior-level networking with public institutions.
- Manage budget planning, annual planning, and alignment with regional and business areas for the access and policy team.
- Enhance internal knowledge of government affairs, market access, and public policy through organized education sessions.
- Lead negotiations with local authorities to secure optimal access and pricing.
- Adapt global value dossiers and Health Economics models using local data for effective submissions.
- Ensure timely and effective submission of reimbursement requests.
- Represent the company at public forums, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
