Job Title: Cybersecurity Expert - ICS/OT and IIoT

Roles and Responsibilities:
My client is seeking a knowledgeable OT Cybersecurity Specialist in Germany. The role involves providing expertise in OT fundamentals and cybersecurity best practices, along with personalized guidance and support to customers. The specialist will contribute to IEC 62443 certification efforts for components, products, and systems. They will also assist the Project Management team in scoping evaluations, resource allocation, and timely project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Offering personalized guidance and support to customers, covering project planning, training, assessment, documentation, and implementation.
- Assisting in IEC 62443 certification processes for components, products, and systems.
- Supporting the Project Management team in evaluation scoping, resource requirements, and ensuring projects meet customer and certification body expectations.
- Identifying industry trends and driving knowledge development through coaching, papers, articles, and conference participation.
- Conducting customer code reviews, including travel to customer premises, as needed.
- Performing software penetration testing, vulnerability analysis, and logical attack scenario investigations.
- Collaborating with security evaluation engineers to interpret findings, guide attack paths, and analyze test results.
- Producing formal reports in line with customer and certification scheme requirements.
- Developing advanced attack methods and maintaining expertise in embedded product security.
Qualifications and Skills:
The ideal candidate should have:
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency with IEC 62443 standard and experience with DCS/ICS/SCADA/PLC/OT protocols and security.
- Fluent professional proficiency in German (C1).
- Expertise in customer advisory services, project delivery, product testing, and certification methodologies.
- Strong competency in at least one cybersecurity domain (e.g., Risk Management, Asset Security, Network Security).
- Effective communication skills and adaptability to diverse technical and organizational environments.
- Collaboration skills, including coaching, knowledge sharing, and teamwork.
- Attention to detail, responsibility, and an understanding of customer needs.
- In-depth knowledge of OT technology protection or implementation in critical infrastructure sectors.
- International travel availability.
