Quality Control Manager
A specialized global pharmaceutical company is looking to expand their Quality Control team and is looking for an experienced QC Manager to operate and oversee the QC laboratory. The QC Manager will oversee quality inspections, material characterization, and qualification in production operations, ensuring compliance in deviation investigations, validation studies, and site-level research.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement standards for inspecting, testing, and evaluating materials, ensuring adherence to specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the functional area, mentor the QC team, and lead method qualification and validation efforts.
- Analyze and identify trends in product inspections, recommending corrective actions.
- Supervise QC testing equipment programs, perform data trending for annual product review reports, and oversee projects.
- Represent the quality control department during external audits and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Assist with budget proposals and maintain department work areas in a compliant manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline.
- 6+ years of QC experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnical, or medical device environments.
- 4+ years of QC supervisory experience.
- Experience in LIMs
- Experience in Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing and Lean Manufacturing
- Ability to exercise judgment and analyze complex data for corrective actions.
- Independence with efficient time management and technical analytical skills.
- Extensive knowledge of laboratory analyzers and inspection equipment.
Preferences:
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in a related field.
- Quality certificate (ASQ CQE, CQM, CQA, etc.).
Base Salary: $90,000-$135,000
