Role Overview:
As a Key Account Manager for East Germany, you will be responsible for driving the growth and success of our client's molecular diagnostic products in oncology and pathology across the region. You will be tasked with managing and nurturing relationships with key accounts, including hospitals, oncology clinics, pathology laboratories, and healthcare institutions. Your work will ensure that our client's products are aligned with the needs of healthcare professionals and their patients.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to significantly expand the market presence of our client's products, increase revenue, and promote the value of cutting-edge diagnostic solutions. A blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and relationship management will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts, such as hospitals, oncology clinics, pathology labs, and healthcare providers in East Germany.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to drive product adoption, revenue growth, and market expansion in your region.
- Product Expertise: Serve as the primary technical expert for our client's molecular diagnostic products, particularly in oncology and pathology, offering support and training to customers.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer needs to help refine sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Customer Engagement: Organise and lead presentations, product demonstrations, and scientific discussions with healthcare professionals to showcase the benefits of the diagnostic solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the client's marketing, technical, and product development teams to ensure customer needs are met and feedback is used to improve products.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales activities, market developments, and customer feedback to the client's senior management team.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in key account management, sales, or a similar role within the molecular diagnostics, oncology, or pathology sectors.
- Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of molecular diagnostics technologies, especially in oncology and pathology.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience working with hospitals, clinical laboratories, and oncology centres in East Germany would be highly beneficial.
- Sales Skills: A proven track record of achieving sales targets, driving business growth, and successfully managing key accounts.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Language Skills: Fluency in German (native or near-native) and proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated, results-driven, and capable of working both independently and within a team.
- Travel: Willingness to travel throughout East Germany as required.
