Sales Market Manager and Managing Director Austria (f/m/d)
A leading industrial solutions provider is seeking a Sales Market Manager and Managing Director Austria to strengthen its Sales and Marketing organization, drive sales transformation, and support growth and profitability initiatives. This position is part of the D-A-CH cluster (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and reports to the Cluster Manager D-A-CH. The role is based in Austria.
Role Overview
The Sales Market Manager and Managing Director is responsible for delivering financial targets and key performance indicators for the Austrian market. The role leads the implementation of strategic initiatives, manages local operations, and ensures alignment with regional and global strategies. The position requires strong leadership, a focus on customer needs, and a commitment to operational excellence and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Austrian sales and market team to achieve financial and strategic objectives.
Implement local strategies that align with the company's broader business goals.
Manage business planning cycles, track performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Build infrastructure to support product and service sales, leveraging omnichannel approaches.
Identify and prioritize strategic growth opportunities based on customer needs.
Establish governance structures, streamline decision-making, and reduce organizational complexity.
Ensure consistent application of sales processes and marketing strategies.
Actively contribute to the D-A-CH Sales Management Team and promote regional standardization.
Develop and mentor employees, creating a strong, diverse, and inclusive workplace culture.
Support sustainability initiatives and drive operational improvements.
Candidate Profile
University degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Proven leadership experience, with a collaborative and inclusive management style.
Strong commercial acumen, financial understanding, and customer-centric mindset.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strategic focus.
Experience with change management and organizational development.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
Fluent in English; fluency in German preferred. Additional language skills are a plus.
Demonstrates a commitment to teamwork, customer focus, and accountability.
