Medical Science Liaison - South Italy
Location: Bari, Italy (covering the regions of Apulia, Calabria, and Basilicata)
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our team, focusing on the Southern Italy region, ideally based in Bari. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in engaging with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) to support our initiatives in infectious disease specialty care.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain relationships with HCPs and KOLs within the territory, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
Disseminate emerging on-label data and disease-related information to HCPs in a scientific, objective, and balanced manner.
Collaborate with KOLs and HCPs on scientific initiatives, including speaker identification and preparation, clinical trials, and investigator-initiated trials (IITs).
Provide non-promotional scientific support for activities such as hospital formulary listings, payer engagements, and speaker training sessions.
Address unsolicited medical inquiries accurately and promptly.
Gather insights from scientific interactions with HCPs to inform internal stakeholders about clinical practice trends and knowledge gaps.
Deliver therapeutic area and product training to internal teams where applicable.
Stay current with the latest scientific knowledge and industry developments through ongoing training and professional development.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
Degree in life sciences, medicine, or pharmacy.
Fluency in Italian and a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
Minimum of 3 years' experience as an MSL, with a strong background in infectious diseases.
Comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, prescription processes, and drug distribution in Italy.
Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong professional relationships.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
