The Director, Upstream Process Development will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the scale-up of manufacturing processes from laboratory to pilot scale, ensuring seamless technology transfer to internal manufacturing sites or external partners.
- Leading the design, development, and optimization of robust and scalable upstream processes for pharmaceutical products, including mRNA therapeutics.
- Leading and prioritizing process development projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with external partners, including CDMOs and academic institutions, to leverage expertise and resources as needed.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of scientific excellence, collaboration, and professional growth.
The Director, Upstream Process Development has the following qualifications:
- Ph.D. or M.Sc. w/ 9-12 years of industry experience
- Experience with biologics: mRNA, DNA, oligonucleotides
- Cell culture, cell line development, and tech transfer experience
