Responsibilities:
Formulation Development:
- Design and develop robust formulations for solid oral dosage forms, ensuring compatibility with active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and meeting regulatory requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to guide formulation strategies.
Process Optimization:
- Optimize manufacturing processes for solid oral dosage forms to enhance efficiency, scalability, and product quality.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to implement process improvements.
Analytical Testing:
- Oversee analytical testing activities related to solid oral dosage forms, including dissolution, stability, and particle size analysis.
- Interpret analytical data and troubleshoot any formulation or manufacturing challenges.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure formulations comply with regulatory guidelines and standards, particularly in the context of Singapore's regulatory environment.
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to prepare and review documentation for regulatory submissions.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality control, to achieve project goals and timelines.
- Effectively communicate formulation strategies, progress, and results to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Proven experience 5 years in formulation development for solid oral dosage forms within the pharmaceutical industry.
- In-depth knowledge of solid dosage manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for pharmaceuticals in Singapore and other international markets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
