My client is a world leader in the provision of lab and measurement technology equipment used across different sectors of Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnology to support cutting-edge research and procedures. They are looking for a qualified 'Field Service Engineer' to join their growing team where you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing devices, bringing your technical expertise to help improve customer gratification and assist in product sales.
You will enable people to make the most out of their products, by working in a global team at the forefront of the industry's most innovative technologies. You will have the chance to gain experience in and contribute to device functioning across a range of exciting areas such as R&D, materials and biotechnology.
Key responsibilities:
- Responding efficiently and effectively to service calls for specified devices to guarantee customer satisfaction
- Following company guidelines to complete service of devices, identify & repair system faults, replace parts, rectify instruments, and put forward replacement orders
- Train customers on how to operate the relevant devices
- Assist in product sales & demonstrations where needed
- Travel as required to fulfil the above
Key requirements:
- Education in Electrical engineering/Electronics, Mechatronics, Physics or similar
- Skilled in configuration of IT systems & software
- Minimum 3 years experience in field service/customer support engineering
- Previous experience with XRD or optimal measurement
- Ability & willingness to travel nationally as well as internationally
- Autonomous individual with strong analytical and communication skills
- Fluent English (German/other languages are an advantage)
