Job Description
The Medical Marketing & Training Director's primary responsibility is to provide strategic leadership for the Company's Medical Education programs and the development of client facing clinical content. In this collaborative role, you will work with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop overall Medical Education strategies including the conception, planning, organization, and execution of the client training workshops and other peer to peer programs aligned with company objectives. This position will also provide leadership in the development and execution of a faculty engagement strategy designed to enhance education effectiveness. This position will also lead commercial efforts in the development of clinical resources, content development & sale enablement tools.
This position will bring deep subject matter expertise, industry insights, and a willingness to innovate, advancing our client as an industry leader in Medical Education and leading clinical content development efforts within the Marketing organization. Will establish and maintain strong relationships with internal colleagues to identify and leverage expertise and medical education activities to deliver exceptional customer experience and advance patient care.
What you will be responsible for:
Medical Education Strategy
- Leads and drives Medical Educational strategy for products to define and ensure identified educational needs are met, including ensuring that all educational activities are strategically aligned and prioritized accordingly, in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Partners with Product Marketing and supports the development of marketing strategies and programs designed to enhance product commercialization through educational efforts.
- Develops and delivers the Medical Education strategy and all aspects of a comprehensive schedule of Medical Education events according to the annual plan, including Phase 1-3 new client training, webinars, didactic presentations, trade shows, peer to peer and other events
- Drives integrated medical education planning across the organization and ensures effective communication with cross-functional teams.
- Engages with clients and faculty to capture voice of customer insights that support the development of needs-based educational programs
- Oversees development and execution of faculty engagement strategies working closely with the Chief Compliance Officer.
- Consistently assess the need for all employee clinical training and conduct programs and develop training tools on an as needed basis.
Content Development and Program Execution
- Develop and curate clinical content: Create, review, and update clinical materials that align with commercial strategies and product offerings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with medical, marketing, compliance, and legal teams to ensure accurate and compliant clinical content.
- Translate clinical data into commercial tools: Simplify complex clinical data for use in marketing collateral, sales training materials, and promotional resources.
- Support sales teams: Provide clinical expertise and create resources to help the sales teams better understand and communicate the clinical benefits of Cardiac PET and Myocardial Blood Flow.
- Review promotional materials: Collaborate with compliance to ensure clinical claims are compliant with industry regulations.
- Create educational materials: Develop clinical education content for healthcare providers, patients, and stakeholders.
- Monitor and incorporate industry trends: Stay updated on emerging clinical trends, research, and regulations, and integrate them into commercial content strategies.
- Participate in service launch activities: Assist with clinical content development for new product launches, including brochures, presentations, and white papers.
- Manage clinical content repositories: Organize, update, and maintain a library of clinical content for commercial use, ensuring easy access for relevant teams.
- Support field inquiries: Address clinical-related questions from sales teams or healthcare professionals regarding product usage and evidence.
KOL Development
- Identify and engage KOLs: Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders in relevant cardiac imaging areas to support commercial and clinical strategies.
- Strategically map KOL networks: Identify potential KOLs through research, medical conferences, and peer-reviewed publications to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with commercial and clinical teams to develop and execute KOL engagement strategies.
- Facilitate KOL partnerships: Coordinate and manage KOL involvement in advisory boards, speaker programs, clinical trials, and product development discussions.
- Organize KOL events: Plan and execute meetings, roundtables, webinars, and conferences that involve KOL participation to support brand objectives and product education.
- Support product advocacy: Work with KOLs to advocate for products within the medical community through presentations, clinical data dissemination, and by supporting scientific publications.
- Build long-term relationships: Cultivate enduring, mutually beneficial partnerships with KOLs to maintain brand credibility and drive continuous engagement.
- Monitor and engage emerging KOLs: Stay updated on emerging influencers in the scientific and medical communities and build early relationships to foster future collaboration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field required. Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) degree strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years' of successful medical education, medical affairs and/or marketing experience
- Moderate travel required: 20-35%
- Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience
- Experience in the medical device industry strongly preferred, with knowledge of relevant compliance and regulatory environment.
