A top Pharmaceutical company is looking for a highly motivated and qualified individual to join their medical affairs team as a medical science liaison (MSL) in the field of immunology and gastroenterology. The MSL will be responsible for engaging with key opinion leaders (KOLs), researchers, clinicians, and other stakeholders in the immunology/GI therapeutic area, providing scientific and clinical information, supporting clinical trials, and collaborating on medical projects.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong scientific and professional relationships with KOLs, researchers, clinicians, and other stakeholders in the immunology/GI therapeutic area
- Provide scientific and clinical information on current and future products, disease state concepts, and relevant medical topics in response to unsolicited requests from external customers
- Support clinical trials by identifying, assessing, educating, and recruiting investigators, participating in investigator meetings, and providing ongoing support and communication
- Collaborate with internal partners in medical affairs, clinical research, marketing, and sales on medical strategy, training, education, and other scientific projects
- Collect and communicate clinical insights and intelligence on the market environment, clinical strategies, competition, and other developments relevant to the company's success
- Maintain a high level of therapeutic area knowledge and stay abreast of current scientific trends and publications
- Conduct all activities in accordance with current regulatory and health care compliance guidelines
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) in immunology, gastroenterology, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience as an MSL or in a similar role in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in immunology and gastroenterology
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to travel extensively (up to 60%) within the assigned territory (Texas) and occasionally to other regions
