Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Northeast
Location: Field-Based - Northeast U.S. (~10 states)
Compensation: $170,000 - $190,000 base salary + Bonus + Stock
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our team in the Northeast region (~10 states). This individual will serve as a key scientific resource, engaging with healthcare professionals (HCPs), key opinion leaders (KOLs), and other stakeholders to provide scientific and clinical support for our portfolio. The ideal candidate will have experience in Rare Disease, Immunology, or Hereditary Angioedema (HAE) and a passion for medical education and scientific exchange.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and researchers within the assigned territory.
- Deliver scientific presentations and engage in meaningful discussions on product data, disease state education, and emerging research.
- Support clinical development initiatives, including site identification, engagement, and trial support.
- Provide medical and scientific expertise to internal teams, including medical affairs, commercial, and market access.
- Attend and contribute to medical and scientific conferences, advisory boards, and regional/national meetings.
- Gather and communicate field insights to inform strategy and medical planning.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards in scientific communication and interactions.
Qualifications (For Experienced MSLs - Preferred Candidates):
- 1-2 years of MSL experience, preferably in Rare Disease, Immunology, or HAE.
- Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, DNP) required.
- Strong knowledge of the therapeutic landscape, including clinical practice, treatment guidelines, and competitive intelligence.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific data for diverse audiences.
- Ability to travel extensively within the Northeast region (~60-70%).
Qualifications (For Candidates Without MSL Experience - Strict Requirements):
Candidates without prior MSL experience will only be considered if they meet ALL of the following criteria:
- Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, DNP) required. No exceptions.
- Clinical or research background in one or more of the following areas:
- Rare Disease
- Immunology
- Hereditary Angioedema (HAE)
- Asthma
- Allergy
- Cystic Fibrosis (CF)
- Immunodeficiency
- Genetics
- Proven ability to interpret and communicate scientific data effectively.
- Prior experience presenting at medical/scientific meetings, educating HCPs, or engaging with clinical teams is strongly preferred.
- Must be willing and able to travel within the assigned Northeast region (~10 states, ~60-70% travel required).
