We are seeking a talented and strategic HR Business Partner (HR BP) to join their team and drive HR initiatives across Japan and China.

Location: Tokyo, Japan (with regular travel to China)

As they expand into the APAC market, they are looking for an experienced HR BP to support their growing teams in Japan and China.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Provide expert guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Support talent acquisition efforts, including recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes employee engagement and development.
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Lead HR initiatives such as workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development programs.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations in both Japan and China.
- Collaborate with global HR teams to ensure consistency and alignment of HR practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a business partner role.
- Experience in the biotechnology, genomics, or life sciences industry is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of HR practices and labor laws in Japan and China.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in Japanese and English is required; proficiency in Chinese is a strong plus.
- Willingness to travel regularly between Japan and China.
