We are working with global life sciences company specializing in the analytical laboratory instruments business. The Marketing Director is a purpose-driven and innovative leader that will translate a corporate marketing vision and strategy into an annual Marketing Plan for Japan with effective localization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership, direction, and coaching to the Japan Marketing team of segment marketing, product marketing, customer communication, and inside sales.
- Draft and execute Japan marketing strategy and action plans in conjunction with the global marketing strategy to drive sales, market share, and profitability.
- Collect market data, competitors' information, and customer requirements, analyze the information, and set aspirational business targets.
- Set clear STP(segmentation, targeting, and positioning), GTM(Go-to-Market) and Pricing strategies of all products which effectively fit Japan market and customer demand.
- Oversee the implementation of marketing activities - PR, trade shows, events, sales promotions, digital marketing, and e-commerce.
- Drive the capability of commercial excellence through effective monitoring of marketing outcomes (# of leads and lead-to-opportunity conversion rate) and on-going improvement of marketing activities.
- Foster the relationship with KOLs for creating success story and generating ripple effects.
- Collaborate with Japan sales team to develop account specific plans and help them implement the plans.
- Develop and execute a long-term plan to grow Japan business by capitalizing on the growing market such as BioPharma market.
- Develop marketing talents and enhance marketing capability.
Qualifications:
- Successful senior leadership experience in a business management and/or business development in analytical instrument (LC-MS preferred), life science, biotechnology, or related industry.
- Strong leadership skills fostering an environment of collaboration, teamwork, execution, and accountability are required
- In-depth international experience in marketing and/or sales management with demonstrated ability to effectively manage cross functional teams across a matrixed organization.
- Significant track record of successfully leading and developing a sizable team by being an effective change agent.
- Knowledge of various marketing and sales strategies as well as broad base business and financial acumen
- Strong scientific knowledge and technical marketing background
