Job Title: Oncology Sales Specialist
Territory: NH, ME, VT, and Boston
Summary:
The ideal Oncology Sales Specialist should have the drive, initiative, and creativity to excel in competitive, science-focused markets. They must thrive in a small, entrepreneurial setting, using strategic thinking and precise resource management. They will develop business plans to promote and support the company's oncology product, aiming to meet all territory sales goals. They will educate healthcare professionals about the product's benefits and possess deep knowledge of oncology customers and local market dynamics.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements effective territory business plans.
- Meets or exceeds sales goals, key performance indicators, and objectives.
- Builds and maintains long-term relationships with physicians, nurses, office managers, and other key stakeholders.
- Engages in meaningful discussions with healthcare professionals about the approved product.
- Uses approved resources and messages to achieve targets.
- Explains product features and benefits to key stakeholders using persuasive sales techniques.
- Collaborates with internal teams, including clinical nurse educators, marketers, account managers, and medical science liaisons.
- Plans and organizes promotional speaker programs with the Speakers Bureau vendor.
- Shares competitive market intelligence with brand teams and management.
- Monitors operating costs and budget, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
- Experience in oncology and/or rare disease
- Experience in Breast
- Proven track record of success
- Driving results in a competitive market
- Market Access or Reimbursement experience a plus
- Launch and/or experience in promotion of breast cancer and/or rare disease products preferred
Compensation: $170,000-$200,000 base + bonus
Base salary determined based on experience.
