Leveraging your expertise in cell line & media development along with cell culture, bioreactor/fermenter techniques, scale-up activities, and bioprocesses, you will lead a talented team and drive the development of novel upstream processes for biologic therapies.
Principal Scientist - Upstream Process Development Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and optimization of upstream processes tailored for biologic therapies within the R&D department
- Design and execute experiments to assess and validate upstream process parameters, optimizing cell line development, media formulation, and bioreactor/fermenter techniques to achieve exceptional product quality and maximize yield
- Drive process innovation, implementing state-of-the-art technologies to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful translation of processes, including filing NDA/BLA documents
- Provide scientific and technical guidance to the team, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and adherence to regulatory requirements
- Contribute to publications, scientific conferences, and industry forums to share advancements in downstream process development for biologics
Principal Scientist - Upstream Process Development Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field with 4+ years of industry experience, OR Master's Degree with 6+ years of experience, OR Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of experience
- Proficiency in upstream technologies such as cell lines, media development, cell culture, bioreactor/fermenter protocols
- Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in upstream process development for biologic therapies
