Position Overview:
As the Vice President of Clinical Operations, you will be instrumental in leading the successful execution of their clinical trial programs, upholding the highest benchmarks of quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This pivotal leadership role demands a seasoned professional with an extensive background in clinical operations, possessing strategic foresight and the capacity to inspire and guide cross-functional teams. Candidates must bring significant prior leadership experience from within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the clinical operations strategy aligned with the overall business objectives.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing clinical operations team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of clinical trials, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with external vendors, CROs, and partners to optimize trial processes and ensure seamless operations.
- Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry trends, ensuring all clinical operations activities are in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to trial timelines and objectives, proactively implementing solutions as needed.
- Work closely with other departments, including R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Medical Affairs, to drive integrated approaches to clinical development.
- Participate in the hiring process, including interviewing and evaluating candidates for key positions within the clinical operations team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in clinical operations within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on neurology/ CNS.
- Recent and relevant experience within the biotech/pharmaceutical sector is essential.
- Strong experiance in the Neurology/ CNS space is preferred.
- Advanced degree in life sciences or a related field.
- Proven track record of leadership, including experience in team management and a pivotal role in the hiring process.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic leadership and vision, guiding the organization through periods of growth, change, and innovation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
